If you are interested in a higher education then I really can't think of a better school in the lubbock-fort worth area. It is a good place to get prepared for college without feeling like an outsider. Talkington will also help Seniors and Juniors to find millions of dollars in scholarship money to pay for 100% of their college tuition. Last year for a graduating class of around 50 there was 9 million dollars in scholarships given/found. Lets not forget about our amazing collage adviser who helps kids grades 6-12 find scholarships and getting them thinking about their future because she actually cares and knows each student.... If I had to pick the worst part, the only real downside that I can think of would be the small size of the school. While this is a good thing in regards to having a sense of community, it can be limiting in some ways like not having every option for sports and classes that bigger schools do get. The teachers and administration at Whitharral truly do care about you and your success. The teachers are always willing to help students learn and go the extra mile for each student so they can succeed. I feel Whitharral school has provided a great education for me, and I am definitely prepared for my college experience. I am able to connect with all students from elementary-high school and all teachers, due to the size of the school. The facilities are older but have definitely been kept up and are always nice and clean. Parents are very involved at school and are always supporting students in all activities.I would not trade my experience at Whitharral for anything. I am very glad I have had the opportunity to attend this small school....
